West of Center was inspired by one of the greatest men’s fougères of all time: Rive Gauche for Men by YSL. Long since discontinued, West of Center is my effort to keep this beautiful style of fragrance alive. It’s a classic fougère with a rich geranium heart that balances freshness and depth.

This is a masculine fragrance.

I always wanted to try Rive Gauche but never got the chance. I saw Ryan's YouTube videos and thought I'd give his fragrances a shot and ended up buying West of Center.

I wasn't disappointed.

West of Center is a beautiful aromatic fougere with a focus on fresh lavender spiced with anise. It also reminds me of a favorite of mine: Azzaro Pour Homme.

Projects moderately and longevity is solid. West of Center is a great masculine scent for office or casual wear.

I'm a big fougere fan! I've never been able to get my nose on Rive Gauche, so I was very excited to get this. Having never tested the original, I cannot make a direct comparison, but on its own, this is a masterpiece. I'm am blown away by the quality of the juice, the simple, elegant presentation, and the high-end details, such as a magnetic cap and a pressurized atomizer. And my order included a personal note and a sample of Amber Smoke (also lovely). This is a 10/10.
